There’s a TV commercial for a pharmaceutical product that begins like this:  “What if one stock of broccoli could protect you from cancer?  What if one push-up could prevent heart disease?  Wishful thinking right?”

It is wishful thinking, and it reminds me that achieving excellence, avoiding complications, and preventing catastrophic events in the medical transport industry is always more that a one time occurrence.  That’s the beauty of NAAMTA accreditation.  NAAMTA distinguishes itself as an accreditation source that provides ongoing services to alliance members, working toward improvement in all aspects of medical transport practices.

These ongoing services occur through member participation in NAAMTA’s continuous compliance program.  The continuous compliance reports are easy to use, online forms that are completed by each program monthly, quarterly, and annually. The continuous compliance forms provide the opportunity for each program to measure, record and evaluate their processes as they work toward excellence.  T.S. Monson said: “Where performance is measured, performance improves. Where performance is measured and reported, the rate of improvement accelerates.”

Remember, excellence is a continual process. It is never a coincidence, nor is it a one time event.
