These are exciting times in NAAMTA land. We are moving forward towards our goals for ISO certification. Needless to say, this has been (and continues to be) a tedious and arduous task but it is well worth the effort. Any program that strives to provide a quality service knows the time and energy required. The end product is an outstanding organization capable of providing customer service second to none. In keeping with advances towards excellence, we have been working over our standards and recognize areas that need improvement. Since we know that many experts are better than one, we would like to announce an event that epitomizes the mission of NAAMTA. On January 16-17, 2012 we will be convening the 1st annual NAAMTA Alliance Symposium in Salt Lake City, Utah. The intent of this gathering is to bring together representatives from each of our member organizations to discuss any identified needed changes to the standards that guide the medical transport industry. During this upcoming symposium, we will be addressing standards relating to mission types, educational and training standards for medical personnel, organizational personnel roles, and utilization review processes. We welcome all that would like to participate. We will be forwarding more details as they develop. So “save the date” and come build the alliance. We look forward to seeing you there!
